of introducing very young children to karate.

OUR SATURDAY CLASSES WILL RECOMMENCE IN SEPTEMBER!
Many traditional Karate clubs do not allow children to join until they are six years old.
Some clubs don't allow children below the age of eight to train.
We at Vale Karate believe that if taught in the right way by an experienced and patient instructor, Traditional Karate has much to offer very young children, and so we have taken the innovative step of establishing traditional Karate classes for children from four years.
These are The Vale Karate Tigers.
This class is a non-combat, high energy, disciplined but fun way of introducing very young children to Karate. Discipline is very important, but fun is the priority in these classes!
We have been delighted with the development of this group of children and have been hugely encouraged by the response of parents, with many reporting a great improvement in their children’s confidence and general behaviour.
We encourage all parents to stay and watch (but not interfere) and let their children join in when they're ready!
Discipline is accepted readily if instituted in the right way as we have found young children respond to sensible rules and thrive in a friendly but disciplined environment.
We fully believe that being a Vale Karate Tiger is a thoroughly worthwhile activity for a young child, and hopefully the first step of a long happy and fruitful karate career. Come and see!
We have adapted the syllabus, with the Tigers Syllabus aimed at a more gradual streamlined improvement.
The Tigers earn striped belts between the traditional Kyu Grades.
As they get older, the Tigers gradually try the mainstream classes,
after seven years they train with the older children.
We have Tigers classes on Mondays & Fridays
